We're seeking a Mechanical Engineer to design and develop mechanical systems for our flagship sorting solution. This role focuses on structures, mechanisms, and physical product design for real-world industrial environments, working closely with electrical, software, and controls teams to deliver robust, cost-effective systems.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop mechanical systems including mobile robots, mechanisms, structures, and assembly tooling.
  • Design for real-world use, considering loads, wear, serviceability, ergonomics, and safety.
  • Create detailed 3D models and production drawings.
  • Build and test prototypes using hands-on methods (e.g., fabrication, 3D printing).
  • Support the selection and integration of electromechanical components (e.g., motors, actuators, sensors, and power electronics).
  • Analyze design tradeoffs across performance, cost, durability, and manufacturability.
  • Transition validated designs to production by sourcing and managing suppliers.

Qualifications — Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, or a related field.
  • 2+ years of experience designing and delivering mechanical systems, ideally in robotics, automation, or material-handling applications.
  • Strong proficiency in at least one 3D CAD platform (e.g., Onshape, SolidWorks).
  • Skilled in rapid prototyping (e.g., 3D printing, machining, fabrication).
  • Familiarity with production manufacturing processes (e.g., injection molding, sheet metal, casting) and corresponding tradeoffs.
  • Experience integrating electromechanical components into mechanical designs.
  • Comfortable using software tools (e.g., scripting, AI assistants) to improve engineering workflows.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to document and present complex technical concepts.
  • Highly self-motivated and thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional startup environments.
  • Ability to work in-person at our Woburn office, with occasional travel to customer sites.

We're seeking an Electrical Engineer — Mechatronics to architect, build, and deliver the electrical, controls, and safety systems that power our robotic platforms. This role spans power distribution, sensing, actuation, communications, embedded systems, and industrial controls.

You will own electrical systems from early architecture through prototyping, testing, manufacturing, and field deployment. This role requires someone who is equally comfortable designing systems, working hands-on at the bench, debugging complex electromechanical problems, and collaborating across mechanical, software, robotics, and manufacturing teams.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate cross-functionally to deliver integrated robotic systems from initial concept through prototyping and into production.
  • Architect electrical and control systems — including power distribution, communication networks, sensing, and actuation.
  • Select and integrate components such as power supplies, motor controllers, sensors, batteries, actuators, cabling, connectors, and safety devices.
  • Build, test, and debug robotic subsystems, including mobile robots, custom actuators, conveyors, barcode scanners, photo-eyes, and related I/O.
  • Support hands-on prototyping, manufacturing, and field deployment activities.
  • Help grow the electrical team through hiring, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative, high-performance culture.

Qualifications — Required

  • Bachelor's or Master's in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • 7+ years of experience designing and delivering electrical systems for robotics, automation, or industrial equipment — including power systems (24V–480V), motors, embedded controllers, sensors, and firmware.
  • Examples of ownership of electromechanical designs from ideation to production.
  • Skilled in bench testing with tools like oscilloscopes, multimeters, and logic analyzers.
  • Expertise with suppliers and CMs from initial RFQs through pilot and production runs.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to document and present complex technical concepts.
  • Highly self-motivated and thrives in fast-paced, cross-functional startup environments.
  • Ability to work in-person in Woburn, MA at least 4 days per week.

Qualifications — Nice to Have

  • Experience in electrical hardware design, including schematics, PCB layout (e.g., Altium, KiCAD), wire harnesses, and enclosures.
  • Familiarity with industrial automation components (e.g., photo-eyes, proximity sensors, relays, safety controllers, PLCs).
  • Knowledge of serial communication protocols and industrial networks.
  • Proficiency in at least one 3D CAD platform (e.g., Onshape, SolidWorks).
  • Experience with embedded firmware in C or C++.
  • Experience with safety-rated systems and knowledge of compliance and certification standards (e.g., UL, CE, MC).

We're seeking a Senior Software Engineer to build and operate the cloud infrastructure and software systems that power our robotic platforms. This role combines AWS infrastructure, distributed systems, production operations, and full-stack TypeScript development.

You will be responsible not only for building software, but also for ensuring that the systems behind it remain secure, scalable, and reliable. This role requires someone who is comfortable designing cloud architectures, scaling production deployments, troubleshooting complex failures, and restoring systems under pressure when things go wrong.

Responsibilities

  • Design, deploy, and operate production systems on AWS.
  • Develop full-stack applications, backend services, APIs, and tools using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Support scalable cloud infrastructure with a focus on reliability and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues across software, infrastructure, networking, and databases.
  • Lead recovery efforts during production incidents and outages.
  • Collaborate closely with robotics, controls, hardware, and product teams.

Qualifications — Required

  • 4+ years of professional software engineering experience.
  • Strong Node/TypeScript experience building production applications.
  • Significant hands-on experience designing, deploying, and operating systems in AWS.
  • Experience scaling cloud infrastructure and distributed systems.
  • Strong understanding of networking, security, and cloud architecture.
  • Experience with CI/CD, monitoring, and production operations.
  • Proven ability to diagnose and resolve production incidents under time pressure.
  • Strong ownership mindset and ability to work across the stack.
  • Ability to work in-person in Woburn, MA at least 4 days per week.

Qualifications — Nice to Have

  • Experience with Kubernetes, ECS, EKS, and containerized deployments.
  • Experience operating large-scale or customer-facing distributed systems.
  • Experience with production relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Experience with robotics, automation, logistics, or industrial systems.
  • Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CDK, CloudFormation, etc.).
